Timber Frame Tools

Each of the timber frame craftsmen has their own cadre of tools that they used.  These tools vary from Japanese saws to great-grandparent's tools that are lovingly handled and cared for.

One of the tools of the timber frame trade is knowledge.  The method of marking all of the timbers so they can tell exactly where each piece goes and what pieces are connected to it is certainly a critical tool to their trade.
